Hot air ballooning, an experience of a lifetime.

A very early start, as we need to be at the launch site before sunrise. An African Timeout tourist guide will collect you from your hotel or residence and take you to the launch site in the Cradle of Humankind, Kromdraai.

Flights are completely weather dependent and will be confirmed the night before. Flights are at the sole discretion of the pilot.

What we will do

1. On arrival, tea, coffee and biscuits are served as you watch the balloon being inflated
2. Flight of approximately 1 hour
3. Enjoy game viewing from the balloon
4. Keeping with tradition, the flight is celebrated with champagne and orange juice
5. Transfer back to the 5 star lodge
6. Full English breakfast
7. Certificates presented by the pilot
8. The whole experience takes approximately 3 to 4 hours
