About this tour
Visit Lesedi, "the Place of Light", near Lanseria, where five different cultures live side by side: Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, Ndebele and Pedi.
Enjoy traditional food, African dancing and a warm welcome in a pretty bushveld setting, with all the comforts of a top-class destination. A meal in an African boma is included.
What we will do
Welcome. A traditional welcome and a refreshing drink on arrival.
Ndebele village and craft market. Browse the crafts and see the painted Ndebele murals.
Theatre presentation. Learn about the history and origins of the peoples of Lesedi.
Five homesteads. A guided visit to the Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, Ndebele and Pedi homesteads.
The Giant Ingoma. Song and dance from all five villages, finishing with everyone dancing around the fire.
Pan African Feast. Dishes from North, East and South Africa in the Nyama Choma restaurant.
