We do this with less travelling time, short distances each day, no travelling at night, never driving the same route twice, plenty of convenience and sightseeing stops, interesting excursions and activities, the right places to stay and eat, and flexible itineraries.

Who runs these tours

These tours are run by the HOLA Tourism Network. Johan of African Timeout started in 2000, and Henry and Annekie started Catz Tours and Safaris in 1999. Both are registered tour operators for tourists travelling within South Africa. Our HOLA partner in Cape Town is Wayne Milne of Take 2 Tours, which gives the network a national spread.

The businesses are owner-managed, with 43 years of combined experience in South African tourism. We specialise in small group tours, and every tour is planned around the guests' needs and interests, so you get friendly, safe and personal attention.

We are proud, loyal South Africans, based in the north of Johannesburg, with wide travelling experience in South Africa. We are lifelong learners who keep studying the country and its people so we can share it with our guests.

All tours are guided by registered South African tourist guides with a valid professional driver's permit and licence. Our businesses and vehicles comply with the relevant tourism and road transport authorities, with a valid road transport permit and passenger liability insurance.
