About this tour
The Lion and Safari Park is a 600 hectare wilderness reserve in the Hartebeespoort, Magaliesburg and Cradle of Humankind area. It offers an incredible chance to get up close to many of South Africa's most iconic animals. The park's mission is to help local and international guests learn more about these wonderful animals, and the staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions.
Guests can get extremely close to brown and white lions, wild dog, cheetah and over twenty other African wildlife species. While exploring the park you may also see zebra, giraffe, gemsbok, springbuck, blesbuck, sable, nyala and many more.
With game viewing trucks as well as traditional Land Cruiser style safari vehicles, there are many ways to explore the park. The exclusive two and a half hour Safari Tour uses a custom-designed open game drive vehicle for an unforgettable safari experience.
African Timeout does not support cub petting, as it leads to canned lion hunting.

- Safari tour, lion and wild dog tour included (2 hours 30 minutes)
- Lion and wild dog tour only (45 minutes, 08:00 to 16:30): deduct R300 per person from the rate
- Walking with cheetah (bookings must be made in advance)
