Visiting Johannesburg and not having the luxury of, time to do the game lodge "thing" ,join African Timeout in a one day experience in an open game drive vehicle in a BIG5 reserve.
Departure is early , around 05:30 as it is best to do game drives in the morning before the heat of day arrives (breakfast packs on board)
Arriving we will be welcomed with some coffee before we board our open game-drive vehicle with local ranger. Boasting the first Big 5 in Gauteng, the Private Game Reserve offers a thrilling wildlife experience just over an hour away from Johannesburg, Pretoria and Rustenburg. The Game Reserve comprises a pristine malaria free wilderness area of over 4000 hectares. The Reserve boasts an amazing natural African bushveld with an abundance of flora, fauna, birdlife and wildlife. As the reserve is not as vast as all the national parks the sightings of the animals are great
On arriving back at the base we would freshen up and get ready to participate in the interaction with the 2 elephants on the reserve. At the Lodge, our elephant manager will present an educational session. Then it's down to the viewing area for interaction with our elephant. This will include 'touch and feeding' our elephants.
You are then treated to a scrumptious lunch on the deck and a bit of relaxation before we travel back to Johannesburg via Chameleon village, if time allows, to buy some exquisite African souvenirs .
